I started with a blogging series on LinkedIn about Social Selling, intended to be once per week for 6 weeks. That was in November 2018. I forgot to stop, now about 300+ episodes. It turned into online courses and working 3 years at Hootsuite.
Thank you for sharing these insights. Your perspective really resonates with me, especially the part about doing things most people won’t to achieve things most people can’t.
I've found that knowing my "who," "what," "how," and "why" as an online writer is crucial. It's not just about having the answers but continually refining them and not being afraid to ask these questions again. This is truly the starting point and foundation for sustained success.
I love how you’ve planned out every aspect. A clear and concise approach is always beneficial. I also agree that improving by 1 percent each day will lead to significant progress over time.
Simple is so nice because it works. Honestly, I was confusing myself for no reason when I began writing online. Now, I have more clarity because I'm intentionally trying to make things simpler.
Hey Michael, that's impressive especially as English wasn't your first language. Determination moving forward, resilience staying the course.
To be clear, I've spoken English for most of my life. But I was born in Singapore and spoke Malay / Indonesian first. I can now only speak English lol
Solid strategy that works with consistency and discipline, Michael! I like especially point 4.
Thanks Gunnar. How are you going to apply to your work?

I just went through my who, what, how and why again - it's invaluable.
This is so impressive!
Very simple and practicable.
Thanks Micheal.

Love how clear this piece is + the honesty!
I love your last point: getting ready for it to take time, lots of it, before it takes off.
Happy to have discovered your Substack!
How do you manage to post 3-4x per week on Medium or other long form platforms with a 9 to 5?
Great read, very very valuable and easily actionable advice. Thank you Michael 😊

Beautiful post.
We all know how consistency brings people to winning business. But some persons are tired about building a real life business.
I think, to make sure that I can change my work to a profitable business, I just need to focus on my goals.

Hey, I’m just starting out with pursuing writing next to being a physics student. I found this post really motivating, thanks!
